Edmonton is growing. There’s no stopping it, and no one can predict — let alone dictate — how that expansion will occur. But, as we look toward doubling our population, the city can’t just expand — it must evolve. That means looking at city planning around the world and seeing what works here. Some ideas are new to our car-centric city. Others are very old. But implementing them in our own Edmonton way requires being open, being honest and, most importantly, being a good neighbour.
