It was a party 10 years in the making. The creators, contributors and readers of Avenue magazine came together on the 16th floor of Epcor tower in September to celebrate the magazine’s decade-long history.
Top 40 Under 40 alumni, freelance writers and photographers, artists, advertisers and government officials shared memories and conversation over drinks (such as the Avenue spritz, served by Belvedere vodka) and snacks catered by Stir.
At the celebration, which was emceed by author Todd Babiak, Avenue publisher Orville Chubb took to the stage to thank those who’ve contributed to the magazine’s successes along the way. And, more importantly, reminded party-goers that the magazine couldn’t exist without the city that it reflects.
“Let me encourage you to continue to celebrate our past decade, and tomorrow, go out there make your mark, build your dream and we’ll be there to share your story.”
