Hot on the heels of the Together Again Outdoor Concert Series announcements, Trixstar presents The Great Outdoors Comedy Festival, two full evenings of uproarious laughter with internationally celebrated comedians at Canada’s first dedicated socially distanced venue, right here in Edmonton.
“We felt there is no better time than this summer, when people need the laughs more than anything as we start to turn the corner on the struggles that the last 16 months have created in so many ways,” says president of Trixstar, Mike Anderson.
Take part in the VIP experience without the VIP price tag, as you sit at your assigned table with up to five of your friends, and enjoy seat-side food and beverage service and a roster you’d normally have to travel to see.
Don’t let headliner David Spade’s diminutive stature fool you – this comic veteran has a tall resume and has been the star of TV and movies for over 30 years, perfecting his acerbic yet likeable persona.

Achieving the trifecta of comedian, television host and best-selling author, Chelsea Handler headlines Sunday’s stage with her brash, honest and sometimes controversial comedy stylings.
You probably know Shaun Majumder from his 17 years on CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes, but he’s here in Edmonton with his Newfoundland charm and quick wit.
A little quirky, a little awkward and VERY funny, regular comedy festival headliner Cindy Rivers shares the funny in her experiences of coming out as a transgender woman in Fort McMurray.
Both shows will also feature performances by Atomic Improv and music by Harman B., and run from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Edmonton Exhibition Lands Racetrack Infield. Doors open at 5 p.m.
With a portion of ticket sales going towards Boyle Street Community Services and Hope Mission, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival will also be donating some of the proceeds to the Centre for Arts and Music which will use the funds to add a new improv program for vulnerable youth.
Tickets go on sale on Friday, July 16 at 10 a.m. MST.
