Tips from a Traveller
Still unsure about travelling? Here are some tips from Adrian, who recently visited Amsterdam.
- Patience. With new rules & procedures for travel, things take just a bit longer than normal. Be prepared ahead of time and leave extra time.
- Bring extra masks! On an 8-hour flight it was nice to change the mask occasionally. A good refresh!
- I try to live like (or experience a destination like) a local. Nowadays, living like a local also means abiding and being aware of local rules and health precautions at your destination.
- Be prepared with everything that’s needed for your return to Canada. This includes needing to prove a negative PCR test within 72 hours of your flight back to Canada. I found many testing options in the Netherlands through a quick Google search. Also, remember to complete the information required through downloading the ArriveCAN App before getting to the airport and follow airline and airport procedures. KLM makes this easy with travel regulations available on their site.
