Since 2016, sisters Natalie and Vanessa Frederick have been adorning the ankles of Edmontonians, creating fashionable socks to please all ages.
“We started Urban Drawer as a creative outlet, and have always loved patterned socks,” says Natalie. “We focus on adding pizzazz to your outfits, with designs inspired by nature, architecture and things we love.”
Now, the sisters collaborate with designers across Canada, and work with a manufacturer in China to ethically produce statement socks using combed cotton for extra softness.
Urban Drawer’s designs are a far cry from the value pack of black socks your grandparents used to buy. From subtle solid hues to vibrant floral and geometric designs, their socks spice up a wide variety of wardrobes. And for those who enjoy a full library of socks to choose from, it even offers a sock of the month club, which includes one pair of crew or ankle-length socks, delivered to your mailbox each month, anywhere in North America.
Closer to home, the sisters also want their socks to have an impact. For every pair purchased, a portion of their proceeds go to people in need in the community, through an annual donation to Hope Mission.
