Kids Kottage Foundation held its second annual For the Love of Wine gala, a Valentine’s-themed party on Feb. 3 that paired over 25 wine distributors with 400 guests seeking pure indulgence. “It really was focused around the wine. The whole event was wine, food and chocolate-themed, with beautiful music for a romantic evening,” says Pam Miller, fund development director at Kids Kottage, a child-abuse prevention organization.
The party was boosted by music courtesy of Juno nominee Sandro Dominelli and delicacies cooked at three stations by chefs from the Sutton Place Hotel and Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. Guests could indulge at the chocolate buffet, design their own crepes, or watch the chefs create pasta or flamed garlic prawns dishes. The event raised over $35,000.
