Good pizza relies on the right ratio of sauce to crust to toppings — and High Dough nails it every time.
A deep-dish slice can easily be overpowered by the crust, but High Dough’s is soft and chewy, with toppings right to the deliciously crispy edges. The menu ranges from takes on the classics, such as They Call Me Bruce (Hawaiian) and Meatallica (for meat lovers), to innovative options like Kim’s Convenience (topped with kimchi and sesame-ginger dressing) and Donair, Don’t Care (spicy-sweet).
High Dough’s slices also check an important box for me when it comes to evaluating pizza: enough structural integrity that it’s just as good for breakfast the next morning as it is the day you order it, if there is any left. – Caitlin Hart

Campio Brewing
I have never been happier to admit when someone’s right than when my friend cockily mentioned, “You will thank me after you try Campio’s pizza — it is to die for.”
This is not your standard thin crust pizza; it’s a substantial Detroit Deep-Dish pie, and Campio (with two locations) serves eight variations of it. Each one is better than the last if you can believe it.
The OG 2.0 has a thick, buttery crust, layered with cup-and-char pepperoni and melted mozzarella, and dressed with a generous amount of Campio pizza sauce. It feels like a soft, spongy pillow in your mouth (think garlic bread roll but pizza). This dish also answered the age-old question: should pizza be eaten with a fork and knife?
