The Opera is about a young couple on their wedding day, and is a classic comedy written by Mozart, meaning the music will be so good it will take you back to the 1700s when powdered wigs were a thing. “The Date Night Tour” is a Canadian-born comedy tour that has been going on for four years. The tour, put on by FunandFaith, features comedians Andy Beningo and Mark Christopher Lawrence, as well as a Date Night Feud between five women and five men. It comes to Edmonton February 7.

The Silver Skate Festival is back for another year at Hawrelak Park and it will have something for the whole family. The ten-day winter celebration will have everything from sleigh rides, snow sculptures, live music, theatrical events, winter sports, and of course lots of skating (or none if it’s not your thing). The festival runs from February 7 to 17.

The Pure Casino Yellowhead is hosting Edmonton’s Art Battle. The event involves three rounds of live painting, and the audience will vote on the winner. After it’s all said and done, the artwork will be available for a silent auction. This tournament is on February 8.

The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra is hosting a birthday bash for Beethoven, conducted by Cosette Justo Valdés. The musical genius is expected to make an appearance at his 250th bash, so maybe you can get an autograph. The event is on February 8 and is great for the whole family to enjoy.

And you’re going to want to do exactly that at the Electric Feels — Indie Dance being held at The Grindstone Theatre.
