Canada’s Great Kitchen Party brings a Food Network-style competition show to life at the Edmonton Convention Centre. Pianist, improviser and composer Stewart Goodyear joins the Edmonton Chamber Music Society for a concert at Robertson-Wesley United Church. The performance pairs Goodyear’s compositions with three Beethoven sonatas.

Jazz and burlesque come together for two special performances of Big Band Burlesque at the Varscona Theatre.

The Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour stops at the Arden Theatre for screenings of internationally and locally produced short films. Mountain biking, kayaking, skiing and ultra-running all take their place on the silver screen during this festival.

You’ve never seen an art party like this before. Refinery: Jumpscare at the Art Gallery of Alberta is a ’90s VHS horror inspired Halloween dance party — complete with immersive experiences that blur the line between art and horror.
