Dress in your summer finery and join House of Hush at DOSC for A Midsummer’s Night Tease. The show follows House of Hush’s first successful sold out event at DOSC in May.
“The space is historically interesting and they’ve done a really great job of their decor,” says LeTabby Lexington, co-founder of House of Hush Burlesque. “The cocktails are awesome and they’re curated really well. For House of Hush, we try to bring these delightful experiences for our audiences. Part of our mandate is that everyone deserves escapism, and we felt that DOSC also provides escapism, so it seemed like a good connection.”
A Midsummer’s Night Tease is a fun, high energy show featuring Lexington, Beau Creep, Shir Modesty, Scarlette Fussion, Violette Coquette and Lilah Lekker. Lexington was inspired by A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as it’s one of her favourite Shakespeare plays. Expect magical stories, sparkly costumes and dazzling performances. Every seat in the venue has a great view, as the performers roam around the space.
“What I really love about these shows is no matter where you’re sitting, you’re going to have so many moments where you get to be in the front row,” says Lexington. “And the best part about burlesque is that the audience is such an important part of it.”
There are two time slots for the show on July 31 — one at 6:30 p.m. and the other at 10 p.m. The early show is two hours with an intermission. Feast from DOSC’s dinner menu while you’re there. The evening show is one hour without intermission, and you can order from DOSC’s late-night menu. Tickets to both shows include a Serena DOC Rose bubbly or mocktail.
Tickets for A Midsummer’s Night Tease are sold by table or individual bar seat, and the show is for those 18 and older.
