If you need some natural soap, why not make your own? Based in Sherwood Park, Wixy Soap Natural Bath & Body Shop presents a series of soap-making classes, held on weekends. Each class is a standalone session that isn’t connected to previous ones — the next class is on Saturday, July 25. No experience in soap-making is necessary — it’s a beginner/intermediate level class and will feature detailed instructions. All classes are hands-on.
Through this lesson, you will be able to learn how to make 12 bars of soap, with your choice of colour swirl, and scent, using essential oils or fragrance. The instructors will provide you with a variety of tips and tricks to achieve this, and will also answer all your questions. The materials you will receive include the custom wood mold.
A number of COVID-19 safety guidelines and preventative measures will be in effect. The classes are small and require participants to bring their own masks in order to participate. Those who are sick or aren’t wearing a mask will not be permitted to participate. The organizers also ask participants to wash their hands and avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth.
