The Alberta Music Industry Association will have women-focused events all month long, starting with their networking night for women and non-binary artists. It’ll be an evening of knowledge-sharing and new connections, sowing seeds of positive change.

Dr. Juliana Leung (associate professor in the U of A’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) will explore the 2020 Women’s Day theme, “Each for Equal,” and promote diversity in STEM fields, with a presentation followed by food, drinks and trivia at this networking event.

Black Canadian Women in Action (BCW) willhonour young black teenage girls who have completed its Black Girls Leadership mentoring program with a dinner, some remarkable speakers, an award ceremony and entertainment. Everyone is welcome to join in the celebration.

In celebration of women’s achievements, Kingsway’s CHROMA space will host a women’s wellness speaker series, community yoga class, free massages, a photo booth, pledge wall and other activities running all day.
