Make your list and check it twice because The Market Off Whyte is hosting its first Christmas market of the year. You can support over 30 independent artisans.
“We know that COVID has been very difficult for small business owners, so we want to give them an opportunity to come out and display their art in the community,” says Jay Kaytar, event organizer of The Market Off Whyte.
The Market Off Whyte, previously known as Craft Fusion, offers multiple craft fairs each year. The Christmas edition will feature Christmas-themed items and decor as well as gifts like soap, accessories, clothing and ceramics. C2 Glass, Crafts by Kokum Nini and The Cuddle Collective are just a few of the confirmed vendors.
“The Market Off Whyte provides an opportunity for visitors to drop by and check out really unique things that they wouldn’t be able to buy at a large box retailer,” says Kaytar. “We also want people to come out because it supports the small businesses that have really felt the effects of the pandemic.”
The Market Off Whyte is on November 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre located at 8426 Gateway Blvd. Admission is free and parking is free until 3:00 p.m.
