While YESS has canceled its Gala for Youth: Metamorphosis in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization hasn't stopped providing essential youth services and is asking for community support to continue its operations.

The Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS) is calling for community support in this uncertain time. With the closing of so many public spaces, schools, parks and recreational facilities, many young people have nowhere else to go. YESS remains open, aiming to keep these young people safe and take care of those who may be sick. But in order to operate, the organization relies heavily on community support.
While the 2020 YESS Gala for Youth: Metamorphosis has been canceled in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization continues to provide essential services and care to youth in need, including shelter, housing and the drop-in centre. This year, YESS has planned to do three online raffles in place of a live auction at the gala.
You can find more information and buy tickets on their website. Funds raised from the raffle will support YESS operations, as well as support some local businesses.
