Bar Clementine
Bar Clementine is already making waves with its carefully crafted cocktails – it made it onto our Best Cocktails list – but its wine list is a notable collection that further encapsulates the art-nouveau ethos of the space. Here, quality takes precedence over quantity through its small selection of Old World wines from family-run vineyards from France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Germany. There’s a few New World varieties from Canada and the United States, too, if you’re looking to try something new. –Jasmine Salazar

Glass Monkey
While you might associate a gastropub with beer rather than wine, Glass Monkey’s logo – a monkey hanging from a glass of wine – hints at the impressive wine list found within. While some restaurants opt to specialize in particular regions or types of wine, Glass Monkey keeps its list diverse. With over 75 selections, comprised of both Old and New World wines, and nearly every varietal represented, you’re sure to find something that peaks your interest. –Adrianna Szenthe

Rge Rd
Rge Rd’s food may be sourced from local ingredients, but that certainly isn’t true of its wine list; it’s one that spans the world, bringing wine pairings to your table that are rewarding, full and flavourful. On the night I dined at Rge Rd, the wine list featured over 100 wines from around the globe with bottles ranging from $35 to $450. If you’re more of a “by-the-glass” type wine drinker, this restaurant has white, red, and ros options, some of which change by the evening. And if the selections seem daunting, the service staff is as knowledgable as they come. At the mention of spicy, bold flavours, for instance, our server recommended an Orgiolo by Marotti Campi – an intense Italian red with aromas of blackberry and hints of oriental spices which finished spicy and fruity on the palate. A bottle was $67, so it was near the middle of the wine list’s price point, and it paired beautifully with a protein-packed meal. –Cory Haller
