Campio Brewing Co.
Campio is that dependable classmate — you know, the buddy that lets you copy off their notes when you were nodding off in class. The brewery serves reliable Alberta-inspired staples with creative twists — including handhelds, deep dish pizza, salads, and 16 rotating craft beers. The Arugula Apple Salad’s crumbled feta, roasted apple, and smoked spiced pecans give it that perfect salty and sweet balance.
The brewpub’s a stone’s throw from MacEwan University, if you’re looking for some studying sustenance — or post-exam consolation. Even if your grades aren’t looking promising (there’s always next semester), or you’re well into your professional life, you’ll always have Campio to lean on. – Areeha Mahal

Odd Company Brewing
In the spring and summer months, if you’re driving, walking or cycling through Wîhkwêntôwin, you’ll notice a very busy patio. When the weather isn’t so welcoming, people gather inside Odd Company Brewing, chatting over pints and burgers right by the vats where the beer is made (a new Ritchie location has opened, too.) For me, the Animal Burger, with the tangy ODD Sauce served on a brioche bun, is one of the best burgs you’ll find in the city. Pair that with my favourite brew, the oh-so-orange Manderina Sour, and you’ll enjoy one of the best combos in town or around. – Steven Sandor

Ale Architect
You know who’s the funniest person Edify could pick to review a brewery? The non-drinking intern that started two weeks ago.
But at Ale Architect, non-drinkers aren’t an afterthought. As my drinking friends choose from the brewpub’s huge selection of on-tap and canned brews, I decide on the Lime Hop Fizz — a dry-hopped, house-made craft soda. It’s tart and refreshing, and when paired with a couple slices of pizza, I can tell it’s made with as much care as the rest of the menu. I sip slowly, and just like Ale Architect’s beers, it’s the real deal. – Areeha Mahal
