Party like an animal with zoo animals at ZooBrew 2021 hosted by The Ark Project. The adults-only affair features 17 local breweries and distilleries, and a wine section. A line-up of local bands that have yet to be announced will be playing at the amphitheatre and food will be provided by Prairie Catering.
“I love that we catch a unique crowd at ZooBrew,” says Courtney King, president of The Ark Project. “But, being The Ark Project, part of our objective is to bring new people to the zoo who don’t go on a regular basis.”
The event attracts young adults and professionals who want a fun, unique experience at the Edmonton Valley Zoo without crowds of families and children who populate the zoo during the day. Guests are welcome to taste-test a variety of craft beers and explore the zoo exhibits, including one with a new lynx kitten.
Not only is the event a great way to get out of the house, but it’s also a fantastic way to support the redevelopment of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. All funds from the event go towards revitalization and conservation efforts.
“It’s nice for people who want to come out and enjoy a night at the zoo and sip on some nice, local beers and craft beers,” says King. “I like the enjoyment that the crowd gets from it, and it’s a unique experience for them because most of the beer festivals are indoors.”
ZooBrew 2021 is on August 20 starting at 5 p.m until 11 p.m. with last call at 10 p.m. Tickets are $26.35 and are sold in time slots to avoid crowding at the front gate, but guests are welcome to stay as long as they like once inside the zoo.
