Saving lives doesn’t always mean staying home, especially if you’re heading downtown to the new Root 107 pop-up park!
Setting up shop at 107th Street and 101st Avenue, Root 107 is your COVID-friendly outdoor getaway featuring murals, green space and recycled seating. Oh, and did I mention the food trucks?
Take in the sun (or snow, because this is still Edmonton) as you enjoy the best roadside eats the city has to offer, whether that’s Drift Food Truck’s hand-cut fries, Mexican tacos from El Santo Taqueria, slow-cooked pork from Smokehouse BBQ, or a Canadian classic at Poutine World.
You’ll also be able to keep supporting local at Makers Keep, a pop-up shop selling handmade goods all made in Edmonton. And if that’s not enough to get you down to 107th Street, you can also wash the evening down with one of the local craft beers available on site.
Root 107 runs from April 28 to May 2. Make sure to note that the food trucks will be on 107th Street at different times, so plan your trip according to the following schedule:
- Drift – April 28, 29, 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- El Santo – April 28, 29, 30 and May 2 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Poutine World – May 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Smokehouse BBQ – May 1 and 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
