Members of the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose, International showed their true stripes in May, raising money for the Zebra Child Protection Centre through its Fire and Ice 2015 Charity Gala.
Nearly 300 people attended the May 9 gala at the Edmonton Marriott at River Cree Resort, which featured a silent auction and music from the Andrew Miller Trio.
Chris Miller, president of the Edmonton chapter, said Zebra reached out to him through social media. “They asked us to come in and see what they did, and we chose them as our charity this year,” Miller said.
The Honorable Order of the Blue Goose, International is a fraternal organization of insurance professionals around the world that started in Wisconsin in 1906.
Catering for the gala was handled by Marriott staff, while wine was sponsored by ClaimsPro. The gala raised more than $25,000 for Zebra, which supports children who have been abused and navigates them through the justice system.
