Sparkle and ’70s attire filled the Renaissance Edmonton Airport Hotel for the Diamond Disco – a fundraising event for the Zebra Child Protection Centre presented by ProCura. The event supported children who have experienced abuse. The Centre navigates them throughout the entire disclosure, investigative and judicial process.
The event, which was resurrected on December 2 after being on hold for four years, brought together 220 guests for cocktails, a three-course dinner, live auction and music from the Retrofits. Proceeds from ticket sales and auction will go towards supporting and sustaining Zebra programs such as its Backpack Home Program, Child Support Services and Very Important Paws.
“Diamond Disco is our opportunity to celebrate the community who has supported us throughout the year,” said Bob Hassel, CEO of Zebra Child Protection Centre. “It truly is a gathering of our most dedicated allies – those who are just as passionate about creating a future where every child is heard and child abuse is not tolerated. This gathering of supporters sends the message that ending child abuse is a priority.”
