Titi Fueston remembers those jagged-edge gems she collected seven years ago on her trip to Mount Everest. It was the glimmers of crystal that made the former registered nurse realize how attached she could be to those shiny pieces. She was fascinated by how gems and stones tell the stories from her memories.
Now owning her contemporary jewellery line, Tikkhu, Fueston continues to help people find the pieces that resonate with them.
“It’s amazing to see how jewellery brings joy and confidence, and makes people feel special,” says Fueston.
From the popular Archetype Zodiac Collection to the higher-end Demi Fine Collection, Fueston designs jewellery that people can wear for a daily dose of delight.
“If there’s a sentimental meaning behind the pieces, or people can show their personalities with them, those would be the coolest,” says Fueston. “The best jewellery is what you feel most beautiful in.”
While Tikkhu is still a one-woman operation, Fueston is happy about its steady growing pace. In the past two years, she has tried out a few jewellery collections and now expands to hair accessories.
“To me, going viral doesn’t mean that much,” says Fueston. “Who knows what my next trip is going to bring? Inspirations work in peculiar ways, and I like that.”
