Beyond the Fold was inspired by contemporary designer Kelli Anderson, who questions ‘what we can actually do with materials that are supposed to “do” nothing.’ We looked at a simple origami folding technique, the Yoshimura pattern, and explored how it can be applied in an interior space. Exploration for the sake of exploration is critical to discover unexpected solutions to everyday problems. Visitors are invited to explore this fold and participate in our discovery process. ‘If you do not expect the unexpected, you will not find it.’
