“My mom collected Christmas tree ornaments for me and my brother since the day we were born! Imagine my joy when I found a box of Christmas ornaments my new mother-in-law had been buying for my stepsons every Christmas. Now, we have a tree filled with reminders of years past, while we make new memories together.
“Before Christmas my wife, my three sons and I head to Crankpots on Whyte to paint pottery.
The boys get to pick out one ornament. As they get older, we may have a harder time convincing them to paint pottery with their parents. But we’ll always have those ornaments to hang on our tree.”
“Growing up, we lived in the country, so our dad used to bring us out to find our Christmas tree and cut it down. One year we put the tree aside, thinking that we could find a better one. Then we lost the one we cut down.”
