A shuttle runs to and from Smoky Lake to Métis Crossing lands, a nature centre with cultural activities that celebrates Métis traditions and way of life. On Sept. 30, all are invited to spend the day in community, reflection, dialogue and hope at this special event. The day includes a shared meal, stories of survivors, time to visit with an elder, and a ceremonial release of a canoe of hope. The land is a refuge, where all people are invited to experience the “healing power of this sacred place”. The event entry is free but requires a reservation.
