The Edmonton City as Museum Project (ECAMP) “tells the stories of the people, places, things, and moments that make Edmonton our city,” and on June 25 at 7 pm you can take part in the ECAMPing Trip: Reading Métis History into the Landscape of Edmonton. Project Curator Christina Hardie will lead an exploration of the historical legacy of Métis people with special guest Matt Hiltermann.
From ECAMP: “We will consider how the frontier myth works to obscure Métis history, re-evaluate some of Edmonton’s earliest settlers, and share the legacy of the Métis people in Edmonton’s historic urban landscape.”
