RE: MARCH, 2024 ISSUE
Hi Odvod team,
I want to congratulate you on a superb
issue and especially laud you on two
items that are truly stunning. Two
pages that I want to carefully clip out
and frame.
The first is the portrait of Milan
Svajgr in front of the memorable
mural that graces the back of the
Bistro Praha. With his signature
dishes of schnitzel and steak tartar
and the ever-present glass of Prosecco
before him, you captured the soul
of the place. I can hear the strains
of Vivaldi as I look on the photo
and am already yearning for my next
visit there.
The second page that had my heart
in my throat was Feeding the Birds in
Winter. What an absolute gem of a
poem that captures the generosity of
spirit we should all be embracing in
these changing times. Thank you for
featuring Alice Major. Her work thrills
me every time I read it.
I inadvertently grabbed two copies
of the magazine from the stand,
suffering a pang of guilt when I
realized my mistake.
Having enjoyed the issue so much, I
am now delighted to have an extra copy
to send to my friends in New York.
