When Miranda, Kate and Robyn Zechel played house in the basement of their parent’s house back in the ‘90s, those cozy-loving kids didn’t dream that one day they’d co-own a loungewear brand.
“The idea of Cloud Nine was simple,” shares Miranda. “During one of the book clubs we attended in the early 2000s, a couple of women started to discuss how menopause-caused night sweats were disrupting their sleep, but there weren’t many locally made moisture wicking pajamas to choose from. So we decided to open a small shop to help the ladies to sleep better!”
Now 14 years into the market, Cloud Nine Pajamas not only features a variety of sweat-wicking pajama sets, but stylish gowns and plush cardigans for all ages. Or, as the owners believe, there should be a set of loungewear for any type of mood.
“It’s amazing how we love working as a family even after so many years,” says Miranda. “Most of the time, we’d work on designs in Robyn’s kitchen where our kids could also help choose the patterns.”
And after packing up everything, the family would have dinner together on that table full of loving memories.
