Most backyards don’t have sea-cans decked out in graffiti, but this isn’t your average backyard.
Head downtown this Saturday to check out Edmonton’s newest outdoor event venue, The Backyard, to see Jaclyn Panylyk from Girls Club DJs in action from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Girls Club DJs have stockpiled tons of new set lists and funky tracks during the pandemic, and Panylyk is set to get the dance floor moving this weekend for some fun in the sun.
“There’s definitely going to be some new house tracks in the setlist that I’ve accumulated,” says Jaclyn, “It’s going to be friendly and family-oriented. I’ll also be mixing in some familiar songs and keeping it fun and light!”
The Alberta-based Girls Club DJs have made a name for themselves playing major Western Canadian events such as Boonstock Music Festival and BomFest Edmonton. They can also be found playing more intimate events at venues like the Art Gallery of Alberta and the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald. This all-female artists collective is known for its party-starting music selection and knack for reading the dance floor.
The Backyard is located at 10004 103A Avenue on the south side of the CN Tower. Tickets for the July 17 show are available at the door and online at The Backyard’s website. Minors are permitted until 9 p.m.
