You don’t have to go far to feel like you’re in a winter wonderland. Head to Sunridge Ski Area for a day of snowy fun. Go skiing, snowboarding, tubing or rest in the cozy chalet.
“Sunridge Ski Area is perfect for anyone looking to spend some time outdoors this winter,” says Randi-Lee Hopkinson, inside operations manager at Sunridge Ski Area. “Our bunny hill provides an ideal learning environment with two carpet lifts and a gradual slope. While the rest of our hill is ideal for progression throughout the season.”
Sunridge Ski Area has six lifts, 12 runs and two terrain parks. The runs range from easy, more difficult and most difficult. Don’t worry if you’re a beginner because instructors are on the bunny hill on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. to help anyone, no matter the age.
Lift tickets are available onsite with no required reservations and equipment rentals are available. Tubing tickets are $20 for a two-hour time slot, which are limited so avoid disappointment by booking online. Take advantage of the Monday Madness promotion where lift tickets and rentals are $8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday Madness tickets must be purchased online in advance.
Sunridge Ski Area is located at 10980 17 St. NW. The hours of operation are 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday and Friday, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
Check the website for closures before you go. The tube lift closes if the temperature is -20 Celsius or colder. The ski hill may close if the temperature dips below -25 Celsius.
