Sure, the name of the event – Taste of the Chamber – wasn’t very appetizing. But once the 300 guests got through the Jubilee doors for the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce’s annual mixer, their appetites were satisfied by delicious samples from some of the chamber’s member restaurants, including The Melting Pot and Haweli.
Wine was also on offer, and each food and drink ticket purchased sent one dollar to the chamber’s Endowment Fund for Children in Need. “Our endowment fund has over $500,000 in it at present and benefits the School Lunch Program operated by E4C [Edmonton City Centre Church Corporation] ,” explained chamber president and CEO Martin Salloum.
