A new spot on the Edmonton food scene, El Corazon has you covered for unique artisanal cocktails. You could probably order a classic margarita here, but why would you when the menu boasts traditional cocktails with a twist. Try the Mezcal Margarita, a refreshing cocktail with strawberry, lime and apple flavours that are offset with chili spice. Hey, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it.

El Cortez’s Margarita Market menu offers eight types of margaritas from classic to craft recipes. The banana margarita is like drinking a breath of fresh air with its creamy and slightly sweet taste. Or, go the tropical route with the Hawaii 780, featuring coconut tequila, pineapple infused vodka and a coconut sugar rim. Close your eyes and it’s almost like you’re at the beach.

If you’re feeling traditional, Huma is a great place to go. Located in a small strip mall, Huma’s vibrant decor will put you in good spirits. Speaking of spirits… take a sip on the sweet side with the coconut margarita. It’s like dessert in a cup. Or, go the traditional route with a lime margarita. It’s tart without being bitter, and will have you ordering seconds.

If you want options then Maria’s margarita list is for you. The downtown northern Mexican eatery offers margaritas of strawberry, mango, lime, soursop lavender and passionfruit varieties. Order it slushy or on the rocks.
