During the week, Broadway and Grand in Spruce Grove is known for its dinner menu, cocktails and the speakeasy next door, but it’s all about brunch on the weekend. The menu is limited, but the options sound so delicious that it’s hard to choose just one.
On a particularly sunny Saturday morning, the breakfast sandwich was calling my name. The sandwich consists of tomato, bacon, two eggs, spinach, mushroom and a choice of rosemary, chipotle or garlic aioli. In the mood for an extra kick, I went with chipotle and the sauce added a sweet tanginess to the sandwich that made it taste better than your average breakfast sandwich.
The fresh, soft buns completed the sandwich, and the side of potatoes were crispy and tasty. While the sandwich looks small, it’s mighty and fills you up fast. Broadway and Grand is a low-key spot with breakfast that’s worth the drive.
