“When Doan’s Vietnamese Restaurant shut down for good during the pandemic, I definitely shed a few tears over losing its famous Chicken Curry Soup because I used to eat it multiple times a week and then it was just taken out of my life.
“I couldn’t find anything similar in the city until I stumbled across Phobulous and its Chicken Curry Soup. I searched the internet one day looking for any Vietnamese restaurant for a solid hour and Phobulous was the only one I found that matched the description of what I was looking for. The service is really great, and I recommend mixing in some of their special lime sauce and fish sauce along with the oyster and hot sauce to get close to the same flavour as Doan’s.
“I don’t have that pre-pandemic money to going several times a week but we still go a couple times per month because I need my Phobulous fix!”
