Are you on the hunt for some of the best authentic Mexican food and margaritas in the area? Jack Michaels isn’t, because he’s found it at La Patrona.
“They’ve got the best margarita I’ve ever had, and I usually go there for Taco Tuesdays, too,” says Michaels.
La Patrona, located in Sherwood Park, started as a food truck called Casa12Doce, owned by Chef Carlos O’Farril, who grew up in Mexico City. Michaels discovered the food truck when he was with his daughter at Festival Place, where the truck frequented.
“She was starving and I was like, ‘I’ll eat,’ and we found this food truck and then I later came to find out they had expanded into a restaurant.”
Before the pandemic, Michaels supported La Patrona about once a month, and he has continued to show support by ordering take-out.
