Summer is here, which means that ice cream is climbing to the top of many people’s favourite-foods-to-eat lists, including Jason Purcell’s. When deciding where to go for a fixing of his favourite cold treats, he opts for Kind Ice Cream every time.
“Everything that they have ever made has just been totally delicious,” says Purcell, but his go-to flavour is Cookies and Sour Cream.
While you might question why anyone would want that combination of flavours, Purcell says the sour cream complements the sweetness from the cookies, and the creaminess is mouth-watering.
Kind Ice Cream, with locations in Ritchie and Highlands, boasts a menu of 12 unique, handmade flavours, as well as three monthly flavours. Each flavour is made in small batches.
“I love the way in which they’ve sort of worked on building neighbourhoods and communities. Their presence in Ritchie has been tremendous and there’s always a huge line up. People are excited to be out in their neighbourhoods, and we’re already seeing that with what’s going on in Highlands,” says Purcell. “And, of course the ice cream itself is top-notch.”
