Moving to a new city can feel daunting, but it didn’t take long for Phil Darlington to find comfort in his local neighbourhood coffee shop.
“When I first moved myself out here for work, the first time my friends and family ever came for a visit we ended up at District by chance just sitting out on the patio,” says Darlington, who moved to Edmonton in 2018 to work at Global News Edmonton.
While the patio and memories are great, they aren’t the only things that make District Cafe worth visiting.
“The coffee is just excellent, and they always have a really good scone there,” says Darlington, a self-proclaimed fan of scones.
“There are memories attached to the place, as well as it’s a regular spot that I go to for my daily fix.”
