When not cracking the crowd up at a stand-up comedy show with a straight face, Brad Semotiuk is most likely on his way to fulfill his craving for peanut satay. Semotiuk first had the Peanut Satay Beef Noodle Soup at Pho Anh Ltd with a friend who lives in the area, then immediately fell in love with the crazy amount of deliciousness in one bowl of broth.
“I’m a simple man who always stays with the same plate. I usually like food that I can eat while walking, but Pho Anh takes a special place in my heart that it gets me to sit down and enjoy. There’s just something with the rich peanut taste in that soup.”
Working in an industry that allows him to collaborate and meet new people from all around Canada, Semotiuk loves to show other comedians his favourite places to eat in Edmonton, also including Paraiso Tropical and Nhon Hoa Sandwich Bar on Whyte Avenue. Recommending go-to places for food is his way to show off the city.
“I eat out a lot. I’ve now tried almost every place in my neighbourhood since moving there, but I always go to the same places,” says Semotiuk. “Because I stay loyal.”
