After having the Mac N’ Cheese soft serve at K Days, I realized that cheese flavoured ice cream is a heated yes-or-no question for many people. While I survived the cheddar aftertaste from the Mac N’ Cheese, this mellow cheesecake sundae from Pablo meets my expectations. The sweet cream base makes this ice dessert taste as joyful as Pablo’s signatured cheesecake.
I ordered the strawberry and cheese double swirl, which tastes like a creamy strawberry cheesecake. There’s caramel crunches decorating on the top, and two layers of cheesecake at the bottom. Although I’ve seen photos on Instagram before I went, the bright red coloured strawberry swirl still was astonishing.
The cup may not look very big, but I could hardly dig through the sundae on my own. And it was at that moment, I thought of what Olivia Rodrigo sang in “Deja Vu:” “Strawberry ice cream, one spoon for two”.
Deja Vu or not, I’m glad this delightful dessert exists, and I get to try it, too.
