When I looked at the Sosyal Scoops ice cream truck menu and saw mango and s’mores mixed together, I thought “that’s extremely odd.” When I asked the two women working the truck what they’d recommend, they immediately said the Mangaa S’mores was a must-try. In fact, one of them was even eating it at that moment. You could say I was influenced, but I also desperately needed to know what it tasted like.
You might not think mango and s’mores would go together, but it might be one of the most perfect ice cream flavour combinations I’ve ever tasted. It’s mango ice cream with chocolate fudge, marshmallows and graham cookies. It’s fruity and sweet, and the mini marshmallows and soft graham cookies add texture.
The fudge ties it all together and adds that s’mores flavour reminiscent of melted chocolate squished between crackers and a marshmallow. You get the flavour without the sticky mess. It’s odd and it works, and I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since I tried it.
