The Diamond Dog from Pub 1905 started with a warm white flour bun, the jumbo 100 per cent beef wiener peeking out both sides. When it came to toppings, artichoke hearts added a bit of tangy zip that complemented the goat cheese sprinkled throughout. I was initially worried the varying textures wouldn’t quite work, as artichoke hearts in particular can be quite fibrous, but they were so well cooked that they blended right in. Every once in a while a fresh oasis of tomato spread or red pepper kick could be found. Overall, this is a great dog for anyone who loves a veggie-topped option.
