A Cappella Catering Co.
You have until Dec. 16 to reserve the Take & Bake Holiday Dinner. It comes with salad, rolls, roasted vegetables, whipped potato puree, turkey with stuffing and gravy. You bring it home, and gently warm up some of the dishes in the oven. Instructions are included. You can also add a traditional yule log cake to the order.
Fairmont Hotel Macdonald
The Turkey to Go feast serves eight to 10. It comes with a litre of cranberry sauce and another litre of gravy. (Did we mention it’s a big feast?) Also, look for butternut squash soup with toasted pumpkin seeds, because why not go full gourd? There’s fall and winter vegetables with maple glaze, all the fixings, and a yule log. And, if turkey is not your thing, a prime rib dinner is also on offer. Red meat at the Christmas table? Why not!
D’Arcy’s Meat Market
If you’re planning a smaller get together (who needs to see crazy Uncle Frank?), D’Arcy’s has meals for two and four on offer. They include turkey and glazed ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables and dinner rolls.
Sawmill
The Sawmill’s Holiday Turkey Dinner can be picked up Dec. 23 or 24, and it’s portioned out on a per-person basis (so you can even order for one, if you’re going for the Scrooge thing). There’s brined free-range turkey, red-skin garlic mashed potatoes, apple cranberry sage stuffing, vegetables, gravy and cranberry sauce.
The Westin
The Turkey to Go dinner can be picked up Dec. 23-26 or on New Year’s Eve. The turkey comes with apple brioche stuffing because regular white bread just won’t do. Look for maple-glazed vegetables, mashed potatoes and a brussels sprouts Caesar. There’s squash soup to start the meal and sticky toffee pudding to finish it.
Graze
The restaurant at the Edmonton Inn and Conference Centre offers a takeaway Christmas dinner from now until Dec. 27. Choose a turkey or ham dinner, priced per person, so you can order a meal for one — or 20. Look for turkey, sun-dried cranberry and apple stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, carrots and turnips glazed in honey, and sticky toffee pudding cake.
Sunterra Market
The market has Christmas Feasts available for pickup Dec. 22-24. Roasted yam and cranberry salad, carrot ginger soup to start. Then, a herb-rubbed turkey with mashed potatoes, stuffing and roasted vegetables. If turkey isn’t your jam, an Italian ham dinner is also on offer.
