Black Bull Kitchen is a burger, pizza and poutine shop with a simple layout and straightforward menu. You’re free to make your own burger or pizza pie, but with chicken, kimchi, beyond meat and even cod burgers, the menu has you covered. I tried the Black Bull Burger — an eight ounce patty topped with sliced beef and onions — and a side of homemade fries, and found it to be a delicious and worthy challenge on a fall afternoon.
With a black exterior facade, black decor and black bun on its signature burger, Black Bull Kitchen has seemingly spread its style across its neighbours in the west end strip mall (even the parking lot appears to have been recently tarred). Rarely has a restaurant so thoroughly lived up to its name.
