Tucked away in the heart of the River Valley and surrounded by trees on three sides, the Greenhouse at Victoria Golf Course has a certain cabin-in-the woods feel to it. If you’re lucky enough to snag a spot by the window or on the winter patio, you’ll be able to take in the scenic views of the park — as the eatery is located on the second floor, overlooking the golf course. The restaurant specializes in seasonal cuisine — so you can expect the dinner menu here to be ever changing, made with locally sourced ingredients.
The Greenhouse has introduced a winter brunch menu. One of its notable specialties is the Huevos Benedicto — a twist on the classic Eggs Benedict that comes with black beans, jalapeño cheddar cornbread, pico de gallo and hash browns. Topped with hollandaise, the eggs melt on your tongue, and the mild spiciness of the pico de gallo balances out the sweetness of the cornbread. If in doubt, you can go with the classic — like the Greenhouse’s Fried Chicken Waffle. The buttermilk fried chicken is incredibly tender, and the portion is ample enough to share.
