Origin India's tiny take-out awaits your after party.

A neon sign outside of Origin India points to take-out space the size of a walk-in closet. On Fri. and Sat., this little portal to Indo-Asia, at least by way of cuisine, is open until 3 a.m..
Origin India’s take-out booth offers six reasons to eschew the regular late-night meals, while still tipping a hat to western favourites, such as tandoori chicken Caesar wrap ($9.95).
The chicken comes fiery red with hints of cardamom, cloves and cumin, and blends surprisingly well with Caesar dressing’s creaminess. Instead of using naan as a side, it’s the wrap that holds everything together and makes it a perfect street food. Likewise, butter chicken wraps ($8.95) are easy-to-manoeuvre offerings, though spicier.
For something closer to the traditional cuisine served during regular hours, order the platter ($12.95). It’s a to-go box of creamy butter chicken, green curry chickpeas, basmati rice and mixed vegetables.
The thick medley of changing vegetables, like onions and potatoes, has a kick that stands on its own, and is also offered as a vegetarian combo with the chickpeas ($7.95).
