The Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival, presented by Sobeys Liquor & Safeway Liquor, is back!
Featuring an array of cuisines from some of Alberta’s best restaurants and food purveyors, and a diverse selection of wines, craft beers and spirits, the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival is every foodie and drink aficionado’s ultimate destination.
On November 4 – 5 at the Edmonton Convention Centre, attendees treat their tastebuds to an elevated experience by exploring and sampling a variety of cuisines prepared by top chefs from local restaurants. Maybe you’ll find a new favourite dish, or a local restaurant to add to your must-eat-at list – no matter what, you’ll enjoy a delicious and flavourful adventure.
The festival is an opportunity to discover your unique palate, from a cocktail enthusiast to a bona fide sommelier, and learn about a diverse selection of beverages from notable wineries, distilleries and breweries.
With the variety of food and drinks featured at the festival, there is truly something for everyone (so you can even invite your pickiest friend!). Make it a weekend excursion with the festival’s official hotel partners, The Matrix Hotel and The Westin Edmonton, offering the best available rates to festival attendees (plus, you’re only a walk away from the event!).
In addition to fulfilling appetite cravings and wetting the proverbial whistle under one roof, the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival is an opportunity to support local businesses and give back to our communities. Their ‘Support Local’ newsletter series features local vendors who are doing good things across Alberta, through charitable initiatives or activities that help other businesses.
The festival also continues to support the Edmonton Food Bank through food bank donations. In 2019, the festival donated $2,700 and 775lbs of food to the Edmonton Food Bank (and Calgary’s Food Bank). Attendees are encouraged to bring a food bank donation to this year’s event (with each donation, attendees are entered to win multiple prizes, including tickets to the much-anticipated return of Winefest in 2023).
This year is a milestone year for the festival, marking its 25th Anniversary. What started as an event featuring domestic beers and spirits has turned into a celebration of all types of beverages and cuisines. The festival has always been and continues to be, a reflection of the evolution of the industry, representing and showcasing the exciting growth within the community.
Being Alberta’s premier drink and food event for 25 years is definitely something to toast to, so cleanse that palate, get ready to pop some bottles and grab your tickets to the Rocky Mountain Wine & Food Festival, on November 4 – 5! (Your taste buds will thank you)
