If the lineup is any indication, Devin Buffalo’s favourite food is in hot demand. Buffalo visited the Indigenous Grill food truck at the Night Market at the River Cree Resort and Casino, and was taken aback by the line and the delicious food.
“I went with my dad to check it out, and we had the bannock elk cheese burger, fries and gravy, and Saskatoon berry lemonade,” says Buffalo.
The Indigenous Grill parked on the Enoch Cree Nation last year, and Buffalo had been eager to try it ever since. The menu features a bannock elk cheese burger, cheese bannock burger and Cree frybread taco, alongside food truck classics like taco in a bag, poutine and onion rings.
Buffalo recently saw the Indigenous Grill at a powwow in Alexis First Nation and said it had a constant line of over 50 people, but, according to Buffalo, the wait is worth the while.
“The food was so good, and took us back to before COVID, when we could enjoy powwow food at powwows.”
