Maria Bubalo remembers that one time when someone in her office asked her what she would be doing if she wasn’t sitting in the conference room.
She thought, “I’d rather be baking right now.”
She’s nine months into owning her cookie catering and workshop business.

As the pumpkin-spice season slips away, Bubalo prepares to provide gingerbread workshops for the upcoming Christmas season.
“It’s gonna be fun,” says Bubalo. “And even if your icing doesn’t look perfect, it’d still be the most delicious mistake you can make.”
