Alberta may have a reputation for doing things big, but just off 102nd Avenue and a stone’s throw from Groat Road, Partake is keeping it simple by serving up Parisian favourites.
That simple elegance has made Partake into one of High Street’s gems, as well as a standout on Janet Riopel’s long list of favourites.
“I have enjoyed many lovely moments there, sampling small plates and carefully curated wines with special friends,” Riopel says.
In the classic French style, Partake keeps its menu short, simple and effective — but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any show-stopping mains.
“My favourite nosh is the beef tartare,” Riopel says. “The addition of house-made beet barley relish sets it apart from all others, and it is composed at table side to ensure freshness and quality.”
Many a plan or scheme has been hatched over beef tartare and bubbles at Partake.”
