One of the best parts of downtown Edmonton for Shane Jones is the variety of local restaurants to choose from, but a new local joint in his West Edmonton neighbourhood means Jones can have the hustle and bustle of downtown close to home.
Jones discovered Liquids Kitchen & Bar when it opened within walking distance to his house in the southwest neighbourhood of Cameron Heights.
“We walk over there when we can, and it’s kind of a tie for me to have the New York Striploin and fish and chips,” says Jones, who goes back and forth between the two dishes. “They’re both just outstanding.”
Supporting local restaurants is important for Jones, which is why he tries to order from Liquids Kitchen & Bar at least once a month.
“There’s no foundation of community without local businesses,” says Jones. “I’m looking forward to when things get back to normal. When you can go in there and it’s a packed house and everybody has a good time.”
